The LuvShk Babies

September 28, 2019

In Vancouver, we spend some time with our son Nick and Jasmine. We decided to drive up to The Stawamus Chief, officially Stawamus Chief Mountain, which is a granite dome located adjacent to the town of Squamish, British Columbia. We camped with climbers from all over the world, although we did not attempt to do the climb our self we have seen many who did.

Life is a funny thing

twists and turns

and in the bad times

it just breaks and burns

But as you get older

you just live and learn

to shrug your shoulders

and be the bigger man

The following day after saying goodbye to our son and Jasmine we drove to Hope. A weird clunking sound started to happen. So we pulled over and in the dark Cliff began examen the engine. Thank goodness it was only the steering pump which finally broke. So we slowly drove to a Flying J and parked for the night. We got some WiFi and a hot shower which made this a little better ending to the day. The following day we bought the replacement pump and installed it and stayed a second night at the Flying J. We learned that the folks of Hope are very kind and helpful. One of the local Pottery artists knocked on our door and gave us two beautiful bowls she made. She said she wanted us to have this gift for our trip and a memory of Hope. Wow! Thank you so much.

In the morning, we continued our journey to OsoyoosBC to meet our Daughter and Grandkids. The Coquihalla pass notorious for killing engines would be e test for the Luv Shk. She passed with flying colours.

Early afternoon we checked into NK`MIP campground in Osoyoos and had a happy reunion with our daughter and grandbabies. For the next four days we camped, swam, rode horses and enjoyed every moment of togetherness.

It was fantastic to have all our Babies and grandbabies one more time camp in the LuvShk before we head south.

Thank you, LuvShk Babies! Luv You Guys!
