So we got caught with our curiosity just outside of Virgin Arizona, even the password for the internet was” I am a virgin” go figure that. On the sight of the highway, was this little stop which advertised exotic burgers-Rattle Snake, Alligator and other wild animals. So we decided to take a leap of faith and stopped to see if it truly is as unique as the advertisement implied. So we entered the exotic place and were struck with $25.00 burgers. OUCH!. After weighting the high cost against the experience, we both decided to make the second choice and ordered an Alligator Burger with Blue cheese. The waitress informed us that the Rattle Snake is much blander and chewier.

And oh boy it was a unique taste. The meat was chewy and not sure what it tastes like but it was not like chicken or anything we ever tasted. I am pretty open-minded about different food. But even for me, that was way out of my league. Cliff and I both had two bites each, and the rest went to our two dogs which enjoyed a costly alligator dinner.

Thank you to the little stop by the highway for letting us feed our curiosity and for opening up our minds. Being brave is what travelling is all about.
